Alpine Adventures: A Week of Thrills in the Heart of the Alps

Day 1: Geneva to Chamonix – Welcome to the Alps!**

Our alpine adventure kicked off with a flight into Geneva, the gateway to the stunning Swiss-French border. From there, we headed straight to Chamonix, the charming French town nestled in the shadow of Mont Blanc. With just one night in this picturesque spot, we were already buzzing with excitement for the days ahead.

Day 2 and 3: The Ultimate Endurance and Skills Challenge**

The real action began as we dove into our endurance and skills tests. On the first day, we trekked up to a cozy hut—I'll grab the name and update this post soon. After a restful night, we set out at the crack of dawn (6 am sharp!) for the summit push. The climb was tough but exhilarating, and after conquering the peak, we made the descent back down to catch the bus. It was a long day, but Chamonix’s welcoming vibe made it all worth it.

Day 4: Training at Aiguille du Midi – Where Skills Meet Spectacle**

Day 4 was all about honing our skills at Aiguille du Midi. Acclimatization was key, so we focused on crampon, rope, and ice axe techniques. The ridgeline was a standout moment—both breathtaking and a bit nerve-wracking. It’s not every day you get to traverse such a dramatic landscape!

Day 5: A Change of Plans – Exploring Le Brévent**

The Mont Blanc trip got nixed due to weather, so we pivoted to a hike in Le Brévent. Though it wasn’t the original plan, the trails here offered their own brand of alpine beauty. Sometimes, the unexpected detours turn out to be the highlights!

Day 6: Conquering the Chamonix Vertical Kilometre**

To wrap up our alpine escapade, we tackled the Chamonix Vertical Kilometre. It’s a challenging climb that tests your stamina and determination, and it was the perfect finale to an epic week. Exhausted but thrilled, we couldn’t have asked for a better end to our adventure.

Stay tuned for more updates and reflections on this unforgettable journey through the Alps. Until next time, keep climbing and stay adventurous!
